In this condition the distal part of the thumb is bent inwards. The parents usually observe that the child is not able to straighten the thumb. It can be seen in other fingers too. Stretching is advised till one year. If the deformity persists beyond 1 year then surgery is required. It is a small surgery in which the tight structure (A1 pulley) is released. The results are good and time tested.
