Ganglion
The patient will notice a small swelling at the wrist joint. It is painless and soft. Swelling attached to tendon may move with movement of finger. They do not grow at a rapid rate. They arise because of repeated trauma or inflammation. It is like a balloon filled with fluid. It may disappear on its own if it bursts, but is likely to recur. Larger cysts may be removed surgically. They do not recur if proper care is taken during and after surgery.
