The parents will usually complain of curvature of the back or one shoulder being above the other. Sometimes it is diagnosed incidentally when a chest radiograph is taken for some other condition.It is also diagnosed antenatally on ultrasound. Presence of tuft of hair on the back should arouse the suspicion of intraspinal lesion. The child will need observation and serial radiographs to check for progression of the curve. When curve measures between 20-40 ⁰ a brace may be required. Curves more than 40⁰ may require surgery.
