Hallux Valgus

The great toes are turned outwards hence causing a cosmetic deformity. In sever conditions shoe wear may be hampered. The great toe may push the other toes causing deformity of other toes. In initial stages splinting is advised. The children should not wear closed shoes with a narrow tip. Rheumatoid arthritis and other conditions must be ruled out. However in severe condition bony correction will be required.
